Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
The best way is to have a free consultation. We’ll talk about your goals and whether we’re a good fit. There’s no pressure—it’s just a conversation.
How do I book my free consultation?
Click the booking link on the site, or reach out via the contact page to schedule a time that works for you.
What should I prepare for my free consultation?
Just come as you are! It’s a casual conversation. If you want, you can jot down a few goals or challenges you’re facing, but it’s not necessary.
How do I pay for coaching?
I accept online payments. Invoices are sent before each session, and payment is due before each session.
What if I want to pause coaching for a bit?
Life happens. We can pause your package and resume when you’re ready. Just let me know.
How is coaching different from therapy?
Both are valuable, and some people do both. Therapy typically addresses past trauma and mental health conditions. Coaching focuses on your goals and moving forward. That said, if you’re dealing with clinical depression, anxiety, or trauma, I’ll recommend working with a therapist alongside or instead of coaching.
How is nutrition coaching different from seeing a dietitian?
Dietitians are medical professionals who can diagnose and treat medical conditions related to nutrition. Nutrition coaches focus on building healthy habits, understanding how food affects your body and mind, and developing a sustainable relationship with eating. Many people work with both.
Why does coaching cost what it does?
Coaching is an investment in your transformation. The price reflects my training, experience, and the value of the transformation you’ll experience. Think of it as an investment in yourself—one that typically pays dividends in your health, happiness, and life quality.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, I’m happy to discuss payment options. Reach out and we can explore what works for you.
What if I can’t afford coaching right now?
I get it—coaching is an investment. If cost is a barrier, I occasionally offer sliding scale spots or payment plans. Reach out and let’s talk about what’s possible.
Is coaching covered by insurance?
Coaching is typically not covered by insurance, as it’s considered a wellness service rather than medical treatment. However, you may be able to use HSA or FSA funds depending on your plan.
How often do we meet?
Typically, we meet weekly for 60-minute sessions. However, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs and goals.
Can we meet virtually?
Yes! All sessions are conducted via video call (Zoom, Google Meet, or your preference). This means you can work with me from anywhere.
What if I need to reschedule?
Life happens! I ask for 48 hours notice for rescheduling. If you need to cancel with less notice, the session may be forfeited, though I’m flexible in genuine emergencies.
What if I want to take a break?
You can pause your coaching package at any time. Just let me know, and we can pick back up whenever you’re ready.
What should I expect in my first session?
We’ll start by getting to know each other and exploring your goals. I’ll ask questions to understand your current situation, what you want to change, and what success looks like for you. By the end, you’ll have clarity on your goals and a sense of how we’ll work together.
How long does coaching take to work?
Sustainable transformation typically unfolds over 3-6 months. The deeper the change, the more time it usually takes—and that’s okay. We’re building lasting results.
What if I’m not seeing results?
We’ll check in regularly about your progress. If something isn’t working, we’ll adjust our approach. Coaching is collaborative, and your feedback is essential.
Will you give me homework?
Yes, but it’s not punitive! Between sessions, I’ll suggest practices, reflections, or experiments to deepen your learning. These are designed to support your transformation, not add stress.
What if I have more questions?
Reach out! You can email me or fill out the contact form. I’m happy to answer any questions before we meet.
